Hračky malej Ely si lámu hlavu nad tým, čo sa asi stalo, že sa s nimi Ela prestala hrávať. Veď s nimi obyčajne trávila celé dni. A teraz? Hneď ráno odíde z detskej izby a vracia sa až po obede. Vari si našla nových, lepších kamarátov? Špekulujú nad tým, či sa nebodaj na niekoho z nich nenahnevala, lebo dobre vedia, že neboli vždy poslušné.
Napríklad prasiatko. Minulé leto bolo naozaj lenivé, nič sa mu nechcelo, len by spalo a na prácu sa prizeralo. Alebo macík - ten sa zas vykúpal aj v košieľke a nových nohaviciach v potoku za domom. Možno sa Ela hnevá na žabku tárajku, alebo žeby na malú myšku, či na tvrdohlavých capkov? Kdeže, kdeže! Ela predsa nie je urážlivá slečna. S hračkami sa preto hrá menej, lebo má nové dôležité povinnosti.
