I get a kick out of the liner notes here..... Co-written by Mel Tillis and Webb Pierce. Anyone that knows the history of Cedarwood Publishing Company knows that Webb was one of the shrewdest people in Nashville back then. He even joked about it often and said when songwriters would come to him with a tune, if he liked it, he would even sometimes let them put their name on it (with HIS of course) and sometimes cut them in on a small fraction of the royalties. Its how Webb became a millionaire.
